Mental training for leaders under pressure

Good leadership starts with you.

Goals come from above. Expectations come from below. In between, you are expected to decide, motivate, resolve conflicts, and project confidence, even when you are already running on empty. If all you can do is react, uncertainty turns into poor leadership. Mental training helps you regain clarity, composure, and a solid next step.

You are not alone

International studies show how many leaders struggle with constant stress, insufficient preparation, and the impact of their role.
45 %of leaders reported experiencing a lot of stress the previous day.
36 %do not feel sufficiently prepared to lead people.
40 %report that their mental health deteriorated after taking on a leadership role.
40 %of highly stressed leaders considered leaving their leadership role.

The role is getting harder. You are still expected to perform.

You do not have to burn out before admitting that things cannot continue like this.

Leadership rarely fails because of a lack of expertise. It becomes difficult when too many expectations, too little time, difficult conversations, and your own doubts hit you at once. On the outside, you keep everything running. On the inside, you slowly lose direction.

A recent analysis by the Center for Creative Leadership, involving more than 48,000 leaders, identifies these exact patterns: frustration with people and time, self doubt, difficult circumstances, unclear impact, and competing priorities.
01

Caught between all sides

Goals come from above and expectations from below. You are expected to deliver, motivate, and support others even when time and resources are limited.

02

Deciding without certainty

The facts are incomplete and the consequences are real. You overthink, delay, or decide under pressure and continue to doubt yourself afterwards.

03

Difficult conversations keep being postponed

You know what needs to be addressed. Yet you avoid it, soften the message too much, or become harsher than you intended.

04

Successful, yet full of doubt

You were promoted because you delivered results. Now different rules apply, and you do not want anyone to see how uncertain you sometimes feel.

The uncomfortable truth

More pressure does not make you clearer. It makes you more reactive.

As long as you only work faster, leadership falls by the wayside. You control more, avoid conversations, take problems home, and hope that next week will be quieter. It usually will not. Clarity is not a feel good goal. It is the foundation for making conscious decisions under pressure, setting boundaries, and taking responsibility.

Move out of reaction mode

Personal mental training for leaders

Eight weeks to lead again instead of merely reacting.

This is not a motivation programme or a collection of feel good tips. We work directly on the situations that cost you time, energy, and impact. After the foundational programme, the work can be continued flexibly if needed.

01

Clarity and goals

You separate facts from assumptions and decide what really matters now.

02

Self leadership

You recognise when pressure makes you small, harsh, or unclear, and you respond deliberately.

03

Decisions

You stop postponing decisions and develop a solid next step.

04

Communication

You address what needs to be clarified without avoiding the issue or escalating it unnecessarily.

05

Handling pressure

You build strategies that work during busy weeks, not only when you are on holiday.

06

Putting it into practice

You turn insights into concrete conversations, decisions, and actions.

Included in the foundational programme

  • Eight personal conversations of 60 to 90 minutes each
  • Weekly online sessions over eight weeks
  • Individual reflection and practical exercises
  • Personal contact between sessions
  • A final review with your strategy for the next phase
Continue afterwards?

The scope and frequency of any continued work depend on your needs and are agreed individually.

  1. Start

    Get a clear picture

We clarify your situation, your goal, and the most important levers.

  2. Weeks 2 to 7

    Understand and apply

We work on your topics and transfer the insights into your daily life.

  3. Week 8

Make it stick and move forward

You consolidate your insights and plan the next phase.

  4. Afterwards

    Continue if useful

If additional topics would benefit from support, we continue at a pace and scope that fits.

A question of mindset

This mental training is right for you if you are ready.

Change does not require perfection. It requires honesty, personal responsibility, and a willingness to test new insights in everyday life.

A strong foundation

  • You want to look honestly at your situation.
  • You are prepared to take responsibility.
  • You want to put insights into practice.
  • You are looking for clarity rather than quick motivation.

Probably not the right fit

  • You want ready made answers without personal reflection.
  • You see responsibility exclusively with other people.
  • You do not want to change your behaviour.
  • You need medical or psychotherapeutic treatment.

Frequently asked questions

What you should know before our first conversation.

What is mental training?

Mental training is a structured process in which you reflect on your ways of thinking, decisions, goals, and behavioural patterns, and develop new options for action.

How does the programme work?

We meet online once a week for eight weeks. Each session lasts between 60 and 90 minutes. Between sessions, you put the agreed steps into practice in your daily life.

Can I continue after eight weeks?

Yes. After the foundational programme, the work can continue if needed. The scope and frequency depend on your topics and are agreed individually.

Is the programme only for leaders?

The foundational programme is designed specifically for ambitious leaders. During the introductory call, we assess whether your situation and the programme are a good fit.

Does mental training replace therapy?

No. Mental training is not medical, psychiatric, or psychotherapeutic treatment. If you have acute symptoms or a condition that requires treatment, a suitably qualified professional is the right person to contact.

What happens during the free introductory call?

We talk about your current situation, your goal, and your expectations. Afterwards, both of us will know whether working together could make sense. The full terms are clarified personally before you make a booking.

Move out of reaction mode

How much longer do you want to carry leadership alone?

During the free introductory call, we speak directly about what is holding you back, what needs to change, and whether my support is the right framework for you.
